† 성인의 무심한 은혜는 보답을 요구하지 않는다.
성인은 자기가 은혜를 베풀었다고 생각하지 않기 때문에 보답을 바라지 않습니다. 그러나 우리는 그것이 잘 안됩니다. 내가 베푼 것은 꼭 기억하고 남이 나에게 베푼 것은 곧 잊어버리고 맙니다. 그래서 예수님께서는 아예 보답하고 싶어도 할 수 없는 사람들에게 은혜를 베풀라고 하십니다.
