† 어느새 가려던 곳에 가 닿았다.
예수님께서는 바람의 위력, 그 어떤 혼돈의 소용돌이에 아랑곳하지 않으십니다. 바람에 휘둘리고, 물결에 흔들리는 것은 바로 우리이고, 그로 인한 두려움 때문에 예수님을 제대로 알아보지 못하는 것은 나 자신입니다. 예수님을 맞아들이면 두려움이 사라져버립니다. 그 순간 이미 뭍에 발을 딛게 됩니다.
이 상황은 우리 인생 항로에 언제든지 일어날 수 있는 일입니다. 예기치 않은 바람과 큰 물결은 뜻하지 않은 위기 상황입니다. 그때 우리는 주님이 어디 계시냐고 투덜댑니다. 위기에 처하면 다른 것은 보이지 않습니다. 그러나 바로 그 안에 “나다. 두려워하지 마라.”하시는 주님이 계십니다. 그 주님 앞에서는 어떤 바람이나 물결도 장애가 될 수 없습니다.
주님은 언제나 우리와 함께하십니다. 예수님만을 의지하며 갈망한다면 우리는 평정을 되찾을 것이고 어느새 가려던 곳에 가 있을 것입니다. 주님은 큰 바람, 돌풍이 없게 하시는 분이 아니라 돌풍 안에서도 두렵지 않게 해 주시는 분입니다. 그러므로 풍랑에 굴복하지 말고 노를 저어 앞으로 나아가야 합니다.

저녁때가 되자 예수님의 제자들은 호수로 내려가서, 배를 타고 호수 건너편 카파르나움으로 떠났다. 이미 어두워졌는데도 예수님께서는 아직 그들에게 가지 않으셨다.
그때에 큰 바람이 불어 호수에 물결이 높게 일었다. 그들이 배를 스물다섯이나 서른 스타디온쯤 저어 갔을 때, 예수님께서 호수 위를 걸어 배에 가까이 오시는 것을 보고 두려워하였다.
예수님께서는 그들에게 말씀하셨다.
“나다. 두려워하지 마라.”
그래서 그들이 예수님을 배 안으로 모셔 들이려고 하는데, 배는 어느새 그들이 가려던 곳에 가 닿았다.

When it was evening, his disciples went down to the sea, embarked in a boat, and went across the sea to Capernaum. It had already grown dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
The sea was stirred up because a strong wind was blowing. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they began to be afraid.
But he said to them,
“It is I. Do not be afraid.”
They wanted to take him into the boat, but the boat immediately arrived at the shore to which they were heading.

Le soir venu, ses disciples descendirent jusqu’à la mer. Ils s’embarquèrent pour gagner Capharnaüm, sur l’autre rive. C’était déjà les ténèbres, et Jésus n’avait pas encore rejoint les disciples.
Un grand vent soufflait, et la mer était agitée. Les disciples avaient ramé sur une distance de vingt-cinq ou trente stades (c’est-à-dire environ cinq mille mètres), lorsqu’ils virent Jésus qui marchait sur la mer et se rapprochait de la barque. Alors, ils furent saisis de peur.
Mais il leur dit "C’est moi. N’ayez plus peur."
Les disciples voulaient le prendre dans la barque ; aussitôt, la barque toucha terre là où ils se rendaient.
